Ourbookshelves.com is an on-line platform for private booksharing/ -selling. We all have books, that we have read and enjoyed, that now only take up space on our bookshelves. The good words in these books can only enrich, if they are read. That is why we are offering this platform. :-)
The concept is simple:
Lending/borrowing: A member finds a book he wants to borrow, contacts the lender and they make an agreement on the lending terms. After the lending period is through, both parties rate their experience.
Buying/selling: Each bookowner decides whether a particular book is available for loan or sale. If a registered book is for sale, it is clearly indicated on the books icon. The interested buyer contacts the seller and they agree upon the terms and manner of their transaction.
That´s it. :-)
As a start, we recommend that each member register at least 10 books. Think about it. If just 100 members register 10 books each, each member has 1000 books to choose from! :-) Books can be registered in all languages. The language categories are English, French, Spanish, German, Scandinavian and Other.
In the “Comments” section, members can share their thoughts, suggestions, favourites and questions with each other.
